HIGHS
Available retractable hardtop, decent backseat space, low base price. |
|
LOWS
Hardtop version starts over $30K, lacks any sort of passion, rental fleet stalwart. |

WHAT'S NEW
Redesigned for 2008. The Sebring now rides on a Mitsubishi platform. Structural rigidity and size are up, and there are three available engines. |
|
BEHIND THE WHEEL
There isn’t a sporting bone in this Sebring’s body; this one’s strictly a cruiser. |

CAPSULE REVIEW
The base Sebring offers the most value, but the four-cylinder version should be left to the rental fleets, as either six-cylinder engine is a better choice. Retractable hardtop works perfectly, but it cuts into trunk space and adds cost and complexity. Most will be well served by the soft top. |
