Highs
Incredibly versatile interior, enough features to keep an eight-year-old entertained for hours, 13 cup holders.
Lows
Boxy styling doesn't do anything for the mom-mobile reputation of minivans.
What's New
Introduced for 2008; short-wheelbase Caravan is gone.
Behind The Wheel
It's a minivan, so don't expect sedan-like handing. Anyone used to SUVs will be amazed at the pleasant ride and easy manueverability.
Capsule Review
Dodge's new Grand Caravan is a reminder that they started the minivan segment, and they know what they're doing. You can get rotating second-row Swivel 'n Go seats, or the Stow 'n Go seats that drop into the floor. Chrysler's version (Town & Country) offers unique styling and better appointments.
Capsule Review
The five-door Caravan is Dodge's entry-level offering. Longer, wider, and heavier than most of its competitors, including the Honda Fit and Nissan Versa, the Caravan offers a spacious back seat and trunk. The handling and ride don't win it any prizes, but it has some nice features.
